The title 'Camouflage' is a metaphoric expression of unanimity in the male dress code. Throughout history, men’s clothing has served as a symbol of affiliation to a community. This characteristic is still deeply embedded in menswear.
The project began with the imitation of customary men’s attire in fossilised forms where basic articles, such as a shirt, jacket and coat were merged into one. The concept has evolved into a broader sartorial language representing classic elements and styles.
This series involves a great degree of technical expertise in order to create garments that not only visually resemble their constitutional elements but also have equivalent sculptural characteristics, despite conventional construction methods are no longer being applicable.
